44 Years of Impact
Exploring New Horizons engages over 7,500 greater San Francisco & Monterey Bay Area students annually in 3 to 5-day outdoor education programs. In our 44-year history we have served over 223,000 students.
Exploring New Horizons currently tracks our impact through post surveys completed by teachers and by analyzing additional feedback throughout the week from students, cabin leaders, and teachers.
In our 45th year, Exploring New Horizons is seeking philanthropic support to increase outdoor educational equity.
Participation in a residential outdoor education program during the critical period of middle childhood can be the catalyst for increases in academic performance and social-emotional growth, yet only 1/2 of SF Bay Area schools attend. Teachers, students, and their families fundraise to participate and our goal is to raise $100,000 in order to engage 500 additional lower-income students in a life-changing week of outdoor school during the 2023-24 school year.
Please consider a donation to ENH today and help ensure that all students have equitable access to a week of outdoor school.
